Fair launches, explained
Genpad lets anyone launch a token on GIWA whose whole supply is public from the first block and whose liquidity can never be withdrawn, and lets anyone trade it straight away. This page explains how a launch and a trade work, what the contracts guarantee, and what is still being decided.
Testnet. Everything here runs on GIWA Sepolia: tokens have no value, and the contracts are not audited yet.
How a launch works#
A launch is a single transaction. The creator names the token and pays the launch fee; the launchpad deploys the token, creates its pool, adds the entire supply as liquidity and locks the position, all at once. Nobody can buy before the pool exists, and nobody holds tokens that did not come out of the pool.
- 1
Launch fee. 0.001 ETH goes to the treasury. The contract enforces it.
- 2
Token deployed. A fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. No mint function and no owner.
- 3
Pool created. A Uniswap V3 pool against WETH at the 1% fee tier, starting at a market cap of about 1 ETH.
- 4
Liquidity locked. The whole supply goes in single-sided, and the LP position moves to a locker that can only collect fees.
- 5
First buy (optional). Runs inside the same transaction, so the creator is always the first buyer and nobody can front-run it. It can take up to 5% of the supply.
For the first 60 seconds after a launch, a single transaction can buy at most 10,000,000 tokens (1% of the supply). That slows bots down; it does not stop someone who sends many transactions.
What is guaranteed#
Every safety claim is enforced by the contracts and can be checked on-chain. Nothing here depends on trusting the team.
Fixed supply
1,000,000,000 tokens, minted once in the launch transaction. The token has no mint function and no owner.
Liquidity locked for good
The whole supply goes into the pool and the position moves to a locker that can only collect fees. There is no withdraw function to call.
Verified creators
Creators can prove who they are with Upbit's on-chain KYC (a Dojang Verified Address). It earns a badge; it is never required.
Confirms in about 200ms
GIWA Flashblocks preconfirm transactions in roughly 200ms, and the trade feed shows a trade as soon as it is preconfirmed.
Theses on-chain
Every trade can carry a short note saying why it was made, saved on-chain with the trade.
mint() not in the token withdraw() not in the locker setOwner() no owner to set
No admin over tokens
No function lets us, or anyone, pull liquidity or change a token after launch. In Phase 2 a failed graduation never falls back to an admin withdrawal.
Trading#
Every buy and sell goes through the launchpad router, which swaps on the token's Uniswap V3 pool and emits one Trade event. That is how the trade feed can show a trade, with its thesis, the moment GIWA preconfirms it: Flashblocks preconfirm transactions in about 200ms.
- Pool fee
- 1% of each swap, the Uniswap V3 1% tier. It accrues to the locked position.
- Fee split
- The locker collects the fees and splits them 50/50 between the creator and the protocol.
- Slippage
- You set a minimum amount out. If the price moves past it before your trade lands, the trade reverts.
- Thesis
- An optional note of up to 280 bytes, saved on-chain with the trade. A Korean letter takes 3.
Rises and buys and falls and sells each have one colour: red and blue in Korean, as Korean exchanges show them, and green and red in English, as most exchanges do. A token chart's menu switches between those two and blue up, red down. Neither colour is used for anything else.
For creators#
- 1
Connect a wallet. Any browser wallet on GIWA Sepolia. Test ETH comes from the faucet.
- 2
Describe the token. Name, ticker, image and description, plus an optional banner and links.
- 3
Choose a first buy. Optional. It runs inside the launch transaction.
- 4
Launch. Pay the launch fee. The token is live and tradable as soon as the transaction lands.
Creators earn a share of the pool fee from their token's locked position. If your wallet holds a Dojang Verified Address (Upbit's on-chain KYC), your tokens show a verified badge. Verification is optional: it earns the badge and never gates launching or trading.
Network#
The launchpad runs on GIWA Sepolia, the GIWA testnet. Mainnet has no date yet.

Contracts#
The launchpad contracts are live on GIWA Sepolia as testnet v0, with their source verified on the explorer. Admin changes go through the timelock and can only run a day after they are proposed. Audit reports will be listed here before mainnet. The last three are existing GIWA contracts that Genpad builds on.

Roadmap#
Testnet v0
In progressDirect launches into locked Uniswap V3 pools, the router with theses, an indexer, and this app on live data.
Phase 2: bonding curve
PlannedA pump.fun-style curve that graduates atomically into the same locked pool. It runs on testnet first and must pass an external audit.
Mainnet
After the auditGIWA mainnet has not announced a date yet.
FAQ#
Risks#
- Tokens launched here are speculative, and most lose value. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
- Testnet tokens have no value. The contracts are not audited yet.
- Locked liquidity stops a rug pull; it does not stop a token's price from falling.
- Nothing here is financial advice.
- Genpad is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Upbit, Dunamu or the GIWA team.
