Privacy Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

This policy explains what information Genpad handles, why, and what you can do about it. Genpad has no accounts and never asks for your name, email or phone number. Most of what it shows comes from the public blockchain.

A few details, shown in brackets, are still to be filled in. They will be before Genpad launches on mainnet.

1.Who is responsible

[operator name], [registered address], is responsible for the personal information processed through Genpad. The person responsible for personal information is [privacy officer], reachable at [contact email].

2.The short version

  • We don’t have user accounts, and we don’t ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • If you claim a name, we keep it with your wallet address and your X account’s ID, handle and check mark.
  • Your wallet address and everything you do on-chain are public on the GIWA blockchain by design.
  • What you publish for a token is public and permanent, on the blockchain or on IPFS.
  • We don’t sell or rent data, we don’t show ads and we don’t use tracking cookies.
  • Our servers keep error reports and technical logs for a limited time, and use IP addresses only briefly to limit abuse.

3.What we process and why

  • Your wallet address, when you connect a wallet: to show your balances, your portfolio, your creator fees and whether your address is verified. Your browser sends it to the RPC provider and to our indexer to fetch that information, and keeps it in a session cookie so you stay connected. Our web server reads that cookie to draw the page but doesn’t store it.
  • Your settings: your language, theme and price colours, in cookies, so the site looks the way you chose.
  • Your agreement to these documents, with the time you gave it, in your browser’s local storage, so we don’t ask again until the documents change. It isn’t sent to us.
  • What you publish when launching a token: the name and ticker go on the blockchain, and the description, links, image and banner are uploaded to IPFS through our provider Pinata. Uploads happen before your wallet asks you to confirm the launch, so they are published even if you don’t finish it. Images are uploaded exactly as you provide them, including any metadata inside them, such as where a photo was taken, so remove it first if you want it private.
  • Notes on trades: a thesis you add to a trade is written to the blockchain.
  • A name you claim: the name, your wallet address, your X account’s ID and handle and whether it has a check mark, when your wallet first appeared on Ethereum and how many transactions it has sent, when you claimed, and the USDC we send you for it (its transaction). We keep them in our database to run the claim (one name per wallet and per X account, the bar to qualify, the payment) and to show your name in place of your address. Sign in with X gives us only your profile’s basic details; we never post, follow or read anything for you. Your name and the wallet it belongs to are public on Genpad.
  • Error reports: when a page hits an error, your browser sends us the error message, its technical trace, the page’s path and your browser’s name and version, at most ten per page load. We use them to fix bugs. They don’t include your IP address, but an error message can contain a wallet address.
  • Technical data: our servers use your IP address in memory, without storing it, to limit how many requests one visitor can make. Like any website, our hosting provider may record IP addresses and request details in its own logs.

We process this information to provide the Service you ask for, to keep it working and secure, and to meet legal obligations. We don’t use it for advertising or to build profiles of you.

We don’t run analytics today. If we host the site on Vercel, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count visits and measure page speed without cookies and without identifying you.

4.Public blockchain data

Transactions on GIWA, including addresses, launches, trades, balances and notes, are public to everyone and can’t be changed or deleted, by us or anyone else. Our indexer reads this public data and organises it to show markets, charts, holders and portfolios.

A wallet address doesn’t carry your name, but it can be linked to you, for example through an exchange you used. Keep that in mind when you use it.

The verified badge comes from the public Dojang contract on GIWA. Genpad never receives identity or KYC data.

5.Cookies and browser storage

Genpad uses only what it needs to work. You can delete these at any time in your browser’s settings; the site then forgets your settings and asks for your agreement again.

  • locale, theme, updown (cookies): your language, theme and price colours. Kept for one year.
  • wagmi.store and the other wagmi cookies: which wallet is connected, its address and network, so you stay connected. Deleted when you close the browser.
  • genpad:consent (local storage): the version of these documents you agreed to, and when. Kept until you clear it.
  • rk-version, rk-recent and wallet storage (local storage): the wallet sheet’s version and the wallet you used last, plus whatever a wallet service such as WalletConnect stores when you use it. Kept until you clear it.
  • genpad_claim, genpad_claim_nonce and genpad_x_oauth (cookies): while you claim a name, which wallet and X account have signed in, and the one-time codes that prove it. Kept 30 minutes at most.
  • genpad_early (cookie): that this browser’s wallet claimed a name, so it gets in before the public launch. Kept 30 days.

6.Who else is involved

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information. These services help run Genpad or are contacted by your browser when you use it:

  • Railway (United States), our hosting provider: runs the website and the indexer and keeps their logs.
  • Pinata (United States): stores the files you upload for a token and publishes them on IPFS.
  • The RPC provider, GIWA’s public endpoint unless we configure another: sees your IP address and the addresses your browser asks about.
  • Wallet services you choose, such as WalletConnect, the MetaMask SDK or Coinbase Wallet: only when you pick them, under their own policies.
  • Image hosts: token images load from IPFS gateways such as ipfs.io, from Arweave, or from wherever a token’s creator put them. Those hosts see your IP address.
  • RedStone: our indexer fetches the ETH price from it. No information about you is involved.
  • X (United States): when you sign in with X, under its own policies. We receive your account’s ID, handle, name, picture and whether it has a check mark.
  • Etherscan and an Ethereum RPC provider: when you claim a name, our server asks them when your wallet first appeared on Ethereum and how many transactions it has sent. Only your wallet address is sent.
  • Base: the USDC we pay for a claim is a public transaction on the Base blockchain.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to answer a valid request from a court or authority.

7.International transfers

Railway, Pinata and X are in the United States, and IPFS is spread across the world. Using Genpad means that your IP address, the requests your browser makes and the files you upload are processed outside your country, over encrypted connections, for the purposes and periods described in this policy. If you don’t want this, don’t use the Service, or don’t upload files.

8.How long we keep it

  • Error reports and technical logs: deleted automatically when our hosting provider’s retention period ends. We don’t copy them elsewhere.
  • IP addresses used to limit requests: held only in memory, and gone when the server restarts or needs the space.
  • Cookies and browser storage: as listed above, or until you delete them.
  • Claimed names and the details kept with them: while names are in use on Genpad, or until you ask us to delete them. A deleted name stops showing; the USDC payment stays on the Base blockchain.
  • Blockchain and IPFS data: permanently, because those networks don’t allow deletion.

9.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to stop or restrict its processing, and to withdraw an agreement you gave. Write to [contact email]. We answer without undue delay and within the time the law sets.

Because Genpad keeps so little, most requests are simplest to handle yourself: disconnect your wallet, and clear the site’s cookies and storage in your browser. Information on the blockchain or IPFS can’t be changed or removed, by us or anyone else.

10.Children

Genpad is not for anyone under 19 years old. We don’t knowingly process information about children under 14. If you think a child has used the Service, write to [contact email].

11.Security

We never handle your keys or funds. The site is served over HTTPS, and only the people who run Genpad can reach its logs. Because we keep little, there is little to lose, but no system is perfectly secure.

12.Complaints

Write to us first at [contact email]. If you are in Korea and need further help, you can also contact:

  • Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee: 1833-6972, kopico.go.kr
  • Personal Information Infringement Report Center (KISA): 118, privacy.kisa.or.kr
  • Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, cyber investigation: 1301, spo.go.kr
  • Korean National Police Agency, cyber bureau: 182, ecrm.police.go.kr

Elsewhere, you can contact the data protection authority where you live.

13.Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, the date at the top changes too, and the Service asks you to agree again before you next connect a wallet.
